In this role, you will lead a team supporting cross‑enterprise initiatives and large‑scale vehicle and product launches
, driving Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and Dev Sec Ops principles, culture, tools, and processes. You will help evolve Ford’s Continuous Integration ecosystem—improving reliability, automation, developer experience, and operational excellence across the software delivery lifecycle.
- Implement and maintain modern CI tools and supporting infrastructure
. - Translate developer needs into actionable improvements to CI/CD workflows.
- Identify opportunities to automate and optimize the CI process.
- Review and test code written by others to ensure quality and reliability.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and deliver updates, fixes, and improvements
. - Partner with other teams to ensure adherence to engineering best practices
.
- Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Git Hub Actions
. - Deploy updates and fixes to ensure CI stability and performance.
- Develop integrations with internal back-end systems as needed.
- Perform root cause analysis for development and production build/pipeline issues.
- Create automation to improve efficiency, consistency, and reliability.
- Establish and document troubleshooting and maintenance procedures.
- Microsoft Windows: 5+ years
- Power Shell: 0–2 years
- Python: 5+ years
- Linux: 5+ years
- Git Hub: 5+ years
- Jenkins: 5+ years
- GCP: 2+ years
- Cloud Infrastructure: 5+ years
- Microsoft Azure: 2+ years
- Senior Specialist level: 7+ years in a relevant field
- 7+ years as a Dev Ops Engineer (or similar software engineering role)
- Embedded systems build and development process experience (preferred)
- Team leadership experience (highly preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Independent, proactive problem solver (able to identify issues and drive solutions)
- Systems administration / engineering: Linux, Windows
- Scripting: Bash, Power Shell, Python
- CI/CD tooling: Jenkins, Git Lab CI/CD, Git Hub Actions, CircleCI
- Logging: Elastic Stack, Grafana Loki, FluentD
- Configuration management: Ansible, Chef, Puppet
