Data Science and Machine Learning Senior Associate

Akkodis is seeking a Data Science and Machine Learning Senior Associate for a Contract position located in Dearborn, MI
. The candidate must have deep expertise in data science with strong proficiency in Python and advanced machine learning techniques as a key qualification for this position.

Rate Range: $65/hour to $70/hour; the rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

• Analysing business requirements and evaluating datasets to determine suitable data science and machine learning approaches.
• Designing and implementing ML models, hypotheses, algorithms, and experiments that support data‑driven decision‑making.
• Applying advanced analytics techniques such as predictive modelling, prescriptive modelling, and statistical methods to uncover meaningful trends and relationships.
• Developing efficient data loading, augmentation, and analysis pipelines to enhance model accuracy, scalability, and automation readiness.
• Researching and staying updated on emerging data science tools, ML techniques, and analytics methodologies to continuously improve analytical robustness.
• Strengthening model performance by identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements, accuracy gains, and enhanced analytical reliability.

• Bachelor’s degree in data science, computer science, mathematics, statistics, or a related technical field.
• 5 years of professional experience in a data science role with a proven record of delivering impactful models.
• Expert proficiency in Python, including libraries such as Pandas, Num Py, Scikit‑learn, and Sci Py, along with strong SQL skills for working with large, distributed databases.
• Deep knowledge of machine learning techniques—such as Gradient Boosting, XGBoost/Light
  
  GBM, Random Forests, GLMs, and clustering—supported by a strong foundation in mathematics and statistics.
