Overview
Beaumont Children’s Center Pediatric care clinic with special needs and their families will be supported throughout their unique life journey.
PositionThe Behavior Technician will report to the Board-Certified Behavior Analyst and Board-Certified assistant Behavior Analyst at Beaumont’s Center for Exceptional Families. The Behavior Technician shall be responsible for implementing behavior analytic interventions for individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders and other developmental disabilities.
Qualifications- Candidate must possess a high school diploma or GED.
- Preferred experience in childcare or work with children with special needs, mental health related experience or education, interest or class work in Allied Health Degrees.
- Candidate must be certified by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board as a Registered Behavior Technician, currently enrolled in Registered Behavior Technician training, or commitment to complete Registered Behavior Technician training at the Beaumont Exceptional Families Autism Center and obtain certification as a Registered Behavior Technician.
- Exposure to individuals with autism spectrum disorders and other developmental disabilities preferred.
- Ability to model intervention for trainees and patients’ family members.
- Basic Life Support required within six months of start date.
