Position: PATIENT ACCOUNTS REP/CASH POSTER
Metropolitan Behavioral Health (a UHS Facility)
A growing 144‑bed behavioral health facility. Metropolitan Behavioral Hospital provides a full continuum of inpatient services for adolescents, adults and older adults, including behavioral health assessments 24 hours a day. Programs for co‑occurring behavioral health and substance use issues are offered to meet the unique needs of this patient population. The facility also provides a robust outpatient program utilizing group, family, and individual therapy.
PositionSummary
The Patient Account Rep/Cash Poster is responsible for posting all cash and other types of payments received by the Business Office, as well as related date entries such as account adjustments and charge posting. The role ensures all monies received belong to the facility and are posted to the appropriate account. Other duties include verification of benefits, patient financial assessments, and assisting patients with Medicaid applications.
Key Responsibilities- Post all cash and non‑cash payments to patient accounts.
- Record account adjustments and charge postings.
- Verify benefits and conduct patient financial assessments.
- Assist patients with Medicaid applications.
- High school diploma or GED is required; medical business office certificate and/or training preferred.
- Two years of medical business office experience preferred.
