As a Compliance Analyst
, you will support the credit union’s regulatory compliance and risk management efforts by monitoring regulatory changes, identifying operational impacts, and partnering with business units to implement compliant solutions. This role helps ensure regulatory requirements are met, deadlines are achieved, and compliance risks are effectively managed.
Strong knowledge of banking regulations, clear communication skills, and the ability to collaborate across teams are essential for success.
The Opportunity: We are seeking a full time Compliance Analyst to join our team in Dearborn, MI.
What You’ll Do:- Stay up to date with regulatory compliance changes using software, industry bulletins, and other available resources .
- Identify regulatory compliance changes affecting Credit Union operations .
- Translate banking regulations to actionable intelligence for a non-regulatory compliance audience that will inform strategic and tactical decisions .
- Work directly with covered business units to support business changes with compliance impact .
- Provide support to business unit leaders developing solutions to mitigate compliancerisks associated with business changes and special projects .
- Perform ad hoc compliance reviews to support covered business units .
- Use software systems to monitor the progress of operational updates to ensure regulatory deadlines are met by business units .
- Bachelor’s degree in a business or legal field or equivalent work experience .
- Minimum of five years of banking experience; compliance support experience preferred .
- Strong knowledge of banking regulations such as Regs B-Z and NCUA 707 .
- Credit union compliance certification (CUCE, NCCO, CUCO) is preferred .
- Demonstrated experience working on projects .
- Proficient in Microsoft 365.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Able toinitiateand embrace change.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication, and ability to work in a team environment.
