Akkodis is seeking a Product Engineer Chassis for a Contract with a client in Dearborn, MI
. Candidate must have hands‑on experience applying ISO 26262 to chassis or steering systems as a key qualification for this position.
Rate Range: $32/hour to $36/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Job Responsibilities
- Leading ISO 26262 Functional Safety analyses for new and carry‑over chassis and steering systems throughout the development cycle.
- Collaborating with global cross‑functional engineering teams to ensure safety requirements are integrated from concept through production.
- Creating and maintaining Functional Safety work products in alignment with established processes, standards, and compliance expectations.
- Applying MBSE/SysML methodologies to enhance analysis efficiency and improve system modelling clarity.
- Contributing to the design of simplified, robust, and safe system architectures that support next‑generation vehicle technologies.
- Supporting continuous improvement by promoting globally aligned safety ratings, tools, and SysML‑based Functional Safety practices.
- Candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
- Candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of experience applying ISO 26262 to chassis or steering systems.
- Must have hands‑on experience with Systems Engineering principles and MBSE/SysML methodologies.
- Candidate must have the capability to lead and support Functional Safety analyses for chassis and steering systems in alignment with ISO 26262 standards.

Pay Details$32.00 to $36.00 per hour
