Core Net Com Diagnostics Engineer - positions offered by Ford Motor Company (Dearborn, Michigan). Note, this is a hybrid position whereby the employee will work both from home and from the Dearborn office. Hence, the employee must live within a reasonable commuting distance from Dearborn, MI. Support Net Com Application engineers, D&R Engineers, and suppliers regarding Ford diagnostic requirements, tools, and processes for vehicle program diagnostic issue resolution.
Collaborate with other Core Diagnostic team members to identify gaps and future improvements. Collaborate to support, maintain, and improve existing Ford diagnostic tools such as DET, Diagnostic Script Player, Diagnostic Script Setup Tool, MDX tools, VBF tools, and diagnostic simulators. Collaborate to support, maintain, and improve existing Ford diagnostic specs such as GGDS, SWDL, ECU Configuration, and associated test specs.
Collaborate to support, maintain, and improve existing Ford diagnostic processes such as GMRDB, diagnostic development with CANdela, and diagnostic DVP&R. Work with VO, FCSD, and commodity teams in defining new DIDs, DTCs, and routines. Support upcoming FNV4 diagnostic changes including Diagnostic over IP (DoIP) at OBD2 connector and DoIP within the vehicle. Core Diagnostic DLL and tool updates to support Ethernet communications.
Diagnostic development process updates related to Ethernet. Collaborate on new security solutions related to diagnostics including authentication of services, gateway network protection. Work with Tier 2 suppliers including Vector to implement updated diagnostic requirements within Autosar environment.
