VME is a cross-functional team having the Ford Application Process primary responsibility to plan for and implement the launch of new vehicle programs at assembly plants.

In this position...

The Manufacturing Engineer - Industrial Designer candidate will be a part of this team and be responsible for technical ergonomic support for New Model Programs.

Responsibilities

What you'll do...

  • Deliver Ergonomic Delivery Quality Operating System requirements for your specific Future Model Program.
  • Collaborate with Product Development team to generate facility & tooling costs, improve quality, and reduce labor requirements.
  • Use virtual tools to evaluate the ergonomics of new model designs for high volume assembly operations.
  • Lead identification, resolution, and closure of FAE ergonomic issues.
  • Evaluate tooling, workstations and MPL delivery methods for ergonomic compliance. In addition, support tooling and racking buy-offs @ vendor facilities.
  • Lead identification, resolution, and closure of all launch product and tooling ergonomic issues.
  • Identify “Ergonomic Lessons Learned
