This role supports major milestones from MR through Program Approval with key focus on developing a clear understanding of manufacturing impact on the vehicle program financials and income statement.
The major role & responsibility of the position is to provide Program support by leading Advanced Planning and Program phase activities with cross functional team in MFG, PD, PD finance, Purchasing, MP&L and Quality & New Model program, capacity breakthrough solutions, Footprint studies, and various other strategic studies.
ResponsibilitiesWhat you'll do...
- Manufacturing SPOC for Forward Model Product Program analysis and milestone studies for various programs. Serve as direct interface with PD Planning, PD Finance and various MFG Teams
- Initiate Manufacturing Future Model cost studies for Product, Product and Capacity, capacity addition for programs across all Manufacturing skill teams (Cycle Plan Vignettes, MR, PS/ PSC, and PA)
- Negotiate manufacturing targets and resolve product physical vs. funding issues for Programs
- Ensure aligned assumptions between the Manufacturing functional activities including: ME, Operations, MP&L, Launch, and Finance
- Support all Manufacturing analysis related to sourcing decisions and any business case analysis
- Develop and analyze footprint alternatives including: financial, labor and cadence implications
- Lead manufacturing cost reporting, in terms of Business Plan / Cycle Plan submission and ensure the cross-functional alignment and leadership concurrence.
- Lead studies to ensure fulfill Manufacturing customer requirements
- Supervise Program APR business study & Program gateway deliverable inputs
You’ll have...
- Bachelor of Engineering degree (Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial pref)
- Manufacturing experience in Engineering or Operations
- Business case analysis and or significant problem solving
- Exposure or experience with Financial analysis
