As an Electric Motor Calibration Engineer, you will optimize propulsive electric motor calibrations for best torque, power, and efficiency. You will own the motor calibration development from unit level, into vehicle integration, and through vehicle launch. Your focus will be to meet your calibration targets while also supporting Driveability and NVH attribute requirements.
Responsibilities- Developing propulsive electric motor calibrations in support of EV, EREV, and Hybrid Vehicles
- Optimizing motor dynamometer data sets for motor efficiency, torque capability, and torque accuracy
- Creating motor dynamometer test plans to deliver calibration features on a maturity cadence
- Collaborating cross‑functionally with customers in Propulsive Vehicle Calibration, eDrive, and NVH
- Documenting program milestone data reports for technical management reviews
- Engineering propulsive electric motor calibrations in support of EV, EREV, and Hybrid Vehicles
- Developing comprehensive test plans and performing thorough testing to maximize functionality under various conditions
- Optimizing electric motor dynamometer data sets for efficiency, torque capability, and torque accuracy
- Collaborating cross‑functionally with customers in Hardware, Software, and Attribute Teams
- Documenting and communicating program milestone data in technical management reviews
- BS in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related Engineering degree.
- 1+ years of experience working with complex control strategies (C‑code, model‑based).
- 1+ years of experience working in electric motor, powertrain, or vehicle testing environments.
- Strong fundamentals and hands‑on experience with electrical test equipment (oscilloscopes, signal generators, power supplies, etc.)
- MS in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical).
- 2+ years experience in electric motor controls, electric motor and inverter design, or systems optimization.
- 1+ years experience with Software Tools such as ATI Vision, ETAS, MATLAB, Python, Git Hub.
- Proven experience delivering solutions to complex problems with minimal oversight.
- Highly collaborative mindset and strong communication skills.

This position is hybrid. Candidates who are in commuting distance to a Ford hub location may be required to be onsite four or more days per week.
