Designing systems for buildings and infrastructure including power systems, lighting design, generator design, low voltage systems, fire alarm, primary distribution, etc. Applying industry standards and codes to building and site designs, creating electrical specification packages, verifying that all electrical designs comply with local code and ordinances, performing field inspections, creating as-built documents, assisting in research related to material qualities, feasibility, restrictions, etc.
Suggesting new ideas and processes, staying informed of developments in practice areas, and viewing obstacles as opportunities.
The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, minimum of 5 years (ideally 10 years) related electrical design experience. Electrical PE license is a plus but not required
Requirements
- Proficient in AGI Lighting Software, REVIT, and AutoCAD.
- A passion for power and lighting design, power system studies, and low and medium voltage design.
- Ability to research code provisions, products, material information, etc.
- Ability to coordinate information exchange between clients, project managers, and project team.
- Ability to work well with others and independently.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent Ability to read and understand designs and schematics
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree Engineering (Required)
Experience:
- Electrical Engineering: 5 years (Required) 10 years preferred
- AGI Lighting Software: 2 years (Required)
- Revit: 2 years (Required)
- CAD: 2 years (Required)
