Overview
We are establishing a state-of-the-art Li-ion battery factory in the Kansas City Metro. This green-field facility will serve as a hub for innovation in sustainable energy solutions. The on-site, full-time opportunity is in DeSoto, Kansas.
The Dock Operator is responsible for receiving, inspecting, and verifying incoming materials, packaging and loading shipments, and ensuring materials are transported to production areas. The operator maintains accurate inventory records using scanners and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), communicates with internal teams and suppliers to resolve issues, and manages necessary documentation. Safety is essential; the operator uses equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks, performs equipment checks, and keeps the work area clean and organized.
Pay: 20.70/hr
Responsibilities- Unload and inspect incoming materials; verify against purchase orders and documentation
- Package, label, and load outbound goods according to customer and shipping requirements
- Transport materials to production areas and ensure FIFO compliance
- Maintain accurate inventory records using RFID/barcode scanners and WMS
- Generate and manage shipping/receiving documentation and lot tracking
- Communicate with internal teams and suppliers to resolve material discrepancies
- Operate and maintain tools such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely
- Perform routine equipment inspections and maintain a clean, organized work area per 6S standards
- Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements
- Ability to work all scheduled shifts and to train others at the same or lower level within the functional area
- Wearing PPE is required and may include items such as full Tyvek suit, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, and a hazmat suit with a respirator. A respirator fit test will be required based on the functional area.

- Required: High School Diploma, GED, or 2 years of prior experience in the functional area
- Preferred: None
- Familiarity with material handling processes, shipping/receiving, and inventory control
- Experience with material handling equipment
- Ability to operate computer terminals, RF scanners, and Operator Interface Terminals
- Proficient in reading, writing, and verbal communication in English
- Basic mathematical skills to accurately count materials and products
- Safety-conscious attitude and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- 1-2 years of experience in a fast-paced warehouse, manufacturing, automation, or assembly environment
- Forklift certification or experience with lift equipment
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- Knowledge of safety protocols, shipping regulations, and industry standards
- Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA Compliant)
- HAZMAT Certification / Hazardous Materials Handling
- OSHA 10-Hour or 30-Hour General Industry Certification
