Work Environment: GMP / FDA / USDA Regulated Manufacturing
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 25 lbs intermittently; wear PPE; push and maneuver large tanks
This role is a floater Production Technician position supporting operations in the Kitchen and Tank Room areas. Under the direction of a Supervisor, the technician will work in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented manufacturing environment performing production procedures in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The position focuses heavily on weighing, mixing, equipment operation, cleaning, and documentation within a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and sterilize equipment and media solutions according to SOPs
- Accurately weigh raw material components using analytical scales
- Mix components with water and operate large production tanks
- Open and close valves and support batch processing activities
- Operate production equipment including start‑up, minor adjustments, and in‑process quality monitoring
- Complete accurate and compliant GMP documentation following Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
- Perform cleaning and sanitization of work areas, equipment, and tank rooms
- Wear appropriate PPE and follow all safety and aseptic procedures
- Support other production departments as needed
- Maintain inspection‑ready conditions at all times
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor's degree in Biology or related science strongly preferred
- 1-3 years of relevant manufacturing experience
- Experience working in GMP‑regulated environments preferred
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
- Analytical, scientific, and basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Demonstrated understanding of aseptic processes in daily activities
- Comprehensive understanding of Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and SOPs
- Basic awareness of quality improvement tools and MPS processes
- Understanding and awareness of FDA and USDA regulations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Basic computer proficiency
- Candidates with experience working in kitchens, food production, or large‑scale mixing environments combined with GMP experience are highly relatable for this role
