The Senior Manager, Facilities Engineering is an integral member of the Facilities Management team. The Manager is a key player in ramp‑up and sustaining operational and maintenance activities. The Manager ensures facilities goals are continually met, works closely with stakeholders, and drives Key Performance Indicators across assigned Facilities areas while maintaining budgetary guidelines.
Functional Leadership & Operations
- Drive strategy and direction for the Facilities Engineering team in alignment with organizational vision
- Manage functional teams to meet Facilities KPIs and ensure operational excellence
- Ensure company resources are applied to sustain safe, high‑performing manufacturing operations
Strategic Alignment & Continuous Improvement
- Manage ongoing improvements in facilities efficiency through Lean principles and best practices
- Drive and support special projects and strategic initiatives across the portfolio
Team Development & Knowledge Sharing
- Empower, develop, and reward individuals and teams to foster performance and growth
Cross‑Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Lead multi‑functional teams in design, estimating, and delivery of expansion projects
- Assist with transitioning properties into the portfolio from development or acquisition
- Partner with procurement, legal, and leadership to manage contracts, services, and governance
- Coordinate with cross‑functional teams and leadership to align goals, standards, and customer needs
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements
- To ensure health and safety, wearing PPE (full Tyvek suit, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, full hazmat suit with respirator) is a possibility and requires a respirator fit test based on functional area.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred) or related engineering field.
Essential
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in operation/engineering of mission critical facilities and infrastructure
- Minimum of 8+ years of demonstrated experience as a manager
- Experience building and supervising a team or department within a multicultural startup environment
- Strong technical leadership with excellent organizational and verbal skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Ability to collect, analyze, and present technical information to non‑technical audiences
- Self‑starter who works well independently and follows up with minimal direction by seeking answers and focusing on team success
- Able to make appropriate decisions when confronted with obstacles and consistently resolve issues creatively and effectively
- Strong work ethic with a “get the job done” approach and consistently delivers excellent customer service internally and externally
- Intuitive, adaptable, creative, and collaborative with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lead cross‑functional teams through influence and modeled behavior versus micromanagement
- Track record of championing speed, flexibility, and frugality in the face of rapid change and heavy workload
- Solid understanding of sourcing/procurement, building systems and maintenance, engineering, and customer service
- Collaborative nature with strong team building skills and willingness to learn from and accept guidance from others
