Our client, a leading organization in manufacturing and engineering solutions, is seeking a Project Engineer to join their team. As a Project Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting manufacturing and project management teams. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, effective communication, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Project Engineer
Location: De Soto, Kansas
What's the Job?- Provide equipment design solutions to address a wide variety of issues throughout all phases of a machine's life cycle.
- Design new machinery, improve existing machines, and develop tooling, automation, and control systems.
- Manage all aspects of mechanical design for packaging and converting machinery, including conceptualization, design, and documentation.
- Participate in machine assembly, troubleshooting, and ongoing support to ensure optimal operation.
- Identify potential material and process savings, support cost reduction activities, and enhance safety systems.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably mechanical engineering.
- Proficiency with CAD and solid modeling software, with experience in Creo being a plus.
- Basic understanding of pneumatic and electrical schematics, PLC programming, and troubleshooting skills.
- Effective communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work in manufacturing and office environments, with occasional travel within the US.
