We are seeking an experienced Underground Construction Laborer to join our team in De Pere, WI
. In this role you will complete installation, repair and testing of fiber and its components, splice loose tube and ribbon fiber in compliance with modern standards, and connect and configure fiber optic networks for facilities while troubleshooting problems.

- Install and maintain aerial and underground telecommunications cabling
- Assist in all phases of underground construction including loading, driving, delivery, digging, removal, and placement of construction materials and equipment
- Manage the use and care of maintenance equipment including power equipment, trucks, hand tools, and ladders
- Operate and work around heavy equipment and machinery
- Maintain safe working habits and work conditions according to regulations, procedures, and company policies
- Follow safety standards throughout processes
- Set up safety perimeter using signage, cones, and safety barriers
- Prior underground and/or aerial construction experience is a plus
- Ability to learn to operate various utility vehicles and equipment
- Ability to multi-task and shift between tasks without interruption
- Open to a variety of schedules; evenings and/or weekends as needed
- Ability to travel daily; up to 50% travel with overnight stays as needed
- Ability to work in a noisy environment
- Ability to work outdoors, in tight spaces or elevated, by bending, reaching, twisting, climbing, and standing up to 70% of the time, year round
- Ability to occasionally work near moving mechanical parts, electricity and/or powerlines
- Must provide a valid government-issued photo ; driver’s license is required if driving
- Class A CDL a plus
- Passing of all pre-employment requirements (MVR, Background Check, Drug Screen)
