Machine Operator, Manufacturing Production
We are seeking a skilled Boring Bar Operator for a De Pere area machine shop. You will help oversee operational activities and ensure excellent quality control.
A CNC Boring Bar Operator requires experience in set up and operation of precision machine tools of similar functions, both manual and CNC, in a job shop/machine shop operation. Operator must be able to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings; accomplished at reading micrometers, calipers and other precision measuring equipment; capable of mathematical calculations to determine dimensions as well as making minor program changes.
General mechanical aptitude and familiarity with machine shop practices. This position can be very physical as you are working with bigger parts.
- Oversee and coordinate plant operations and activities
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely fashion
- Load and unload equipment and materials
- Provide innovative solutions to improve plant efficiency
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance on the plant
- Log and record readings for equipment and procedures
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in plant operations or other related fields
- Familiarity with plant tools and equipment
- Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
- Ability to handle physical workload
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Wage/Salary: $25 – $35+/hour, BASED ON EXPERIENCE
Typical Schedule: 1st shift
