OBJECTIVE: As a Project Manager you will be an integral part of the CEC team. We help customers run their organizations better through the technology solutions we provide—and you can be part of this essential mission. The Project Manager leads projects to ensure optimal performance and peak efficiencies while overseeing completion of developed company and team goals. Every day is different, challenging, and rewarding.

CORE

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Project Notification: Ensures customer is contacted within 48 hours of project arrival.
  • Reviews overall project objectives and timelines with customer and establishes ongoing communication strategy.
  • Ensures all required project information has been provided to Operations from Sales and Engineering.
  • Assignments of project related tasks within Connect Wise in relation to time lines.
  • Project Information Review: Reviews all information with key partners to address questions and unknowns.
  • Project Planning: Creates a project plan with specific milestones to be able to achieve overall project budgets and timelines.
  • Assists in the creation of Gantt charts, Risk Register, Site Safety Plans as required.
  • Adjusts the project plan and communicates any changes for the duration of the project lifecycle to all stakeholders.
  • Prepares consistent site evaluations, safety inspections, and CEC quality assurances to ensure the project plan compliance. Mentors and correct decisions when possible.
  • Communicates changes in the SOW and adapt project plan as needed.
  • Ensures the project punch list and systems testing is completed, coordinates client training, and documentation compliance.
  • Provides input on Project Managerial tools, output deliverables, and alignment with project objectives.
  • Performs scheduled site inspections and safety reviews.
  • Assists with Sales/Engineering pre-sale functions.
  • Assists with in-site training and mentoring of less experienced team members.
  • Works closely with the project team to ensure safety and quality objectives are met.
  • Closing the Project: Performs customer walkthroughs, submits documentation, obtains customer sign‑off and verifies completion of the project fulfilment details.
  • Post-Project Meetings: Provides input on project management processes, procedures, tools, and best practices.
  • Service: Responds to ticket completion, monitors project status, and provides assistance to CEC’s 247 on‑call rotation.
  • Ensures a safety‑sensitive position.
  • Other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • The Project Manager leads the project team while they work on assigned projects.
  • Manages ongoing project and schedule to keep within budget.
  • Coach and drives high performance for teammates.
  • Focus on continual improvement and creative solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5+ years of technology experience within CEC or similar company.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience within CEC or similar company.
  • 2 safety‑related certifications.
INDUSTRY CERTIFICATIONS
  • Industry certifications (i.e. NICTET, BiCSI, CTS). (etc.)
  • Industry certifications and trainings can be obtained during the first year of employment.
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
  • Strong interpersonal skills, communication experience at all levels.
  • Strong organizational and conflict‑resolution skills.
  • Must be able to effectively handle stressful situations and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • High level of integrity and responsibility.
OTHER SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • General knowledge of communication systems.
  • PC proficiency is essential (Windows environment).
  • Problem‑solving and analytical skills.
  • Physical requirements:

    climb ladders up to 12 feet, lift objects up to 50 lbs, etc.

  • Must effectively handle safety‑related work environment.
  • Physical work requires standing, walking, handling, and operating equipment.
