OverviewOf Responsibilities
At Sprouts Farmers Market, the Vitamin Clerk is responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction by giving prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable service in the Vitamin Department. The role includes creating and maintaining department displays, accurately pricing all merchandise by stamping, marking, or placing shelf tags and signs throughout the department. You will use your supplement and vitamin knowledge to answer questions and educate customers within the proper parameters and be familiar with events and seminars on the calendar.
Share your knowledge of weekly ad items; give customers direction of product location throughout the store. All of these tasks require a fast‑pace environment.
- Using a knife (other than safety cutters) – restricted for team members under 18 years old.
- Using a ladder.
- Operating garbage or cardboard compactor.
- Operating any motor/electronically powered equipment (including manual pallet jacks).
- Working in coolers or freezers for prolonged periods.
- Be at least 16 years of age.
- Be dependable and reliable, able to work a flexible schedule that changes, including night, weekends, and holidays.
- Have and show mutual respect for others, maintaining a high‑level code of ethics within Sprouts culture of diversity, equity and inclusion.
- Have a positive attitude and the ability to interact with customers.
- Have good communication skills, take direction, and participate in a team environment.
- Be willing to gain education on new products and alternative health.
- Be able to perform repetitious activities, multi‑task, prioritize, and stay organized.
- Be able to stand, walk, bend, and climb throughout the day and lift, stack and maneuver heavy objects up to 50 lbs, from 4” to 72”, up to 3 feet without mechanical assistance for 10‑50 hours.
- Be able to maneuver a utility cart holding 20 lbs requiring a force up to 35 lbs up to 2 hours, up to 20 feet.
- Be able to walk up to 3 miles in an 8 hour shift.
- Adhere to all safety, health, OSHA and Weights and Measures regulations.
- Be able to perform other related duties as assigned.
