The Shores Resort and Spa offers 212 guest rooms and 20,000 square feet of event space.

We are looking for a highly motivated Banquet Server to join our team. This individual will help set up and prepare banquet rooms for functions, serve and bus tables, and clear and tear down banquet rooms at the end of the function.

• Set up for functions to include draping tables, setting silverware, folding napkins, preparing drinks, and placing table centerpieces.
• Serve by picking up food from the back hall, carrying trays to the function location, serving food, and clearing food from tables.
• Break down by bussing tables, storing dirty linen and centerpieces, and vacuuming.
• Clean the back hall and organize storerooms.
• Set up for AM or PM break stations that include coffee, tea, snacks, and beverages.
• Assist as needed with event room setup according to meal period and table needs.
• Perform food and beverage preparation duties such as preparing condiments, brewing coffee, and ensuring workstations are stocked.
• Serve food and beverages to guests and remove dishes, glasses, and silverware from tables or counters to the kitchen.
• Clean and sanitize tables, counters, and seating after guests are finished.
• Explain how various menu items are prepared, including cooking methods and ingredients.
• Consider any special requests and dietary issues made by guests.
• Provide general property information and a warm, sincere welcome/farewell for all guests.
• Interact with staff professionally and assist other departments with necessary information.
• Ensure final quality check on food and beverage items prior to serving.
• Monitor assigned tables for customer satisfaction, quality, and additional service needs.
• Address guest issues promptly and with care.
• Provide assistance to other event and restaurant staff as needed.
• Maintain awareness of safety issues (e.g., broken glass, frayed cords, leaks, broken locks, and suspicious persons).

• 2-4 years of food service experience, preferably Banquet service
• Experience in a 4-star/5-star venue with synchronized service
• Knowledge of wine, beer, cocktails, and spirits
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Passion for creating an exceptional guest experience
• Excellent communication skills
