Advanced Nurse Practitioner​/Physician Assistant, PRN-Brooks Rehab​/Halifax Inpatient; Daytona

The Nurse Practitioner works directly under the supervision of a licensed physician, evaluates the health status of patients, orders treatment plans, and provides education to patients and their families. Performs clinical evaluations and reviews diagnostic studies of patients.

• Providing primary care to patients
• Developing and implementing treatment plans
• Ordering history and performing physical exams for new admissions.
• Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests
• Communicating test results to patients and their families
• Making appropriate referrals
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and possess strong computer skills.
• Hospital Consultations (on-site)
• Follow-up with patients as needed
• Recognizes and responses to emergencies

• Inpatient and/or rehabilitation experience preferred
• Basic Life Support Certification
• Nurse Practitioner:
  • Master’s Degree in Nursing required. (If licensed prior to1998, Master’s Degree not required by the State of Florida). Must have current Florida Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) license. Certification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (AANC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Program (AANP).
• EMR experience required, Meditech preferred.

Shift: PRN
-Hours, weekday afternoon coverage M-W and occasional weekend coverage if needed
