Job Description:

Performs and documents all procedures and assessments according to department policy. Obtains or delegates the obtaining of a nursing history and complete admission assessments, including pain screening. Evaluates patients for age-appropriate behavior, motor skills, physiological norms, and signs of abuse or neglect. Conducts follow-up assessments and evaluations to monitor patient progress. Identifies patient teaching needs and provide education on a planned or spontaneous basis.

Administers treatments and medications, interpret and verify physician orders, and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions. Functions appropriately in clinical emergencies and investigate questionable situations. Participates in practice changes resulting from performance improvement activities and support departmental quality standards and initiatives. Follows CDC isolation guidelines, use PPE appropriately, perform hand washing according to policy, and enforce safety regulations. Takes clinical and operational direction from appropriate manager.

Assesses and interpret data relative to patient age and developmental level, identifying increased physical/emotional dependency needs and evaluating the availability of support systems. Associate's of Nursing (Required), Bachelor's of Nursing Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) - RQI Resuscitation Quality Improvement, Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) - RQI Resuscitation Quality Improvement, Registered Nurse (RN) - EV Accredited Issuing Body

Pay Range:

$31.53 - $52.24
