Our client is a well-established and highly respected law firm with locations in Daytona Beach, Palm Coast and DeLand, FL. They specialize in all aspects of personal injury and employment law. This award-winning team has been practicing for more than three decades, and their client base continues to grow regularly.
Currently, they are looking to bring on board another Associate Attorney with experience working on plaintiff-side employment cases; this Associate will also work on personal injury cases. This role will be based out of their Daytona Beach office.
Responsibilities- Provide legal representation to clients in labor disputes, employment discrimination cases, wage and hour claims, and other employment-related matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate employment contracts, policies, and procedures.
- Draft pleadings, including motions, discovery requests and responses, and other substantive filings.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to prepare for litigation and arbitration.
- Represent clients in mediations, arbitrations, conferences, depositions, administrative hearings, and court proceedings.
- Develop strategies to minimize risk and efficiently resolve disputes.
- Stay updated with changes in labor and employment law and advise clients accordingly.
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
- 1+ years of experience practicing employment law.
- Litigation, drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Dedication to upholding the highest standards of professionalism and ethics.
Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco/Highspring notes the salary range for the role is noted in this job posting.
The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company s 401(k) retirement plan.
