Shift: 2:30pm - 11pm

The role you'll contribute:
The Clinical Staff Pharmacist supports the mission of the department, hospital, and health‑system by preventing, identifying and resolving drug‑related problems to assure patient safety, improve patient satisfaction, optimize patient outcomes and minimize cost. Works in the main Pharmacy, as well as in patient care areas. Will perform all functions of a registered pharmacist including accurate and timely dispensing, clinical interaction with the healthcare team, patient involvement, and technician supervision.

- Pharmacy Operations:
Actively performs all pharmacy technician functions and maintains active proficiency in:
Standard work parameters, Operational programs, Dispensing and compounding systems, Hospital computer systems and Medication ordering systems. - Maintains operational expertise in and actively provides coverage of the technician services provided by:
Central Pharmacy, IV Room AND MAY REQUIRE (at least two of the following):
Oncology Pharmacy Satellite, Operating Room Satellite, CVICU Pharmacy Satellite. - Pharmacy Practice:
Completes critical medication order scrutiny, drug profile review, and patient monitoring to identify, prevent, or mitigate medication‑related problems. Improper drug, dose, or dosage form selection. Dose frequency or timing. - Proficiently verifies/enters medication orders and proactively communicates with medical staff to resolve problem medication orders:
Incorrect medication orders, Ambiguous medication orders.
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:
Minimum qualifications
:
- One year of Contemporary hospital pharmacy experience
- Bachelor of Pharmacy, Doctor of Pharmacy, or other advanced pharmacy degree
- Applicable State Pharmacy License
