Endocrinology opening in Florida Daytona Beach, FLFull time

A leading academic-affiliated Department of Medicine is seeking a full-time Endocrinologist to join its Division of Endocrinology in a thriving regional practice located in coastal Central Florida. This position is ideal for a skilled clinician looking to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a collaborative and multidisciplinary environment.

Position Overview:

The physician will be responsible for providing and managing direct patient care, including physical examinations, diagnostic evaluations, assessments, and treatment for a broad spectrum of endocrine conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver comprehensive endocrine care including diagnosis, treatment, coordination of care, preventive care, and health maintenance Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including pharmacists, nurse practitioners, and nursing staff Interpret and follow up on diagnostic tests such as labs, imaging, and EKGs in a timely and clinically appropriate manner Prescribe medications and treatment plans aligned with current clinical guidelines and patient needs Refer patients to appropriate specialty services when necessary May oversee the daily operations of specific programs or care units Provide clinical leadership and coordination for nursing and support staff as required Adhere to departmental and institutional policies, procedures, and quality improvement standards Participate in peer review, quality assurance activities, provider meetings, and continuing education Support or lead updates to clinical protocols and best practices Participate in community and institutional health education or prevention programs as needed

Minimum Requirements:

Licensed to practice medicine under Chapter 458, Florida Statutes Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency program A minimum of four years of relevant clinical experience (residency may count toward this requirement)

Preferred Qualifications:

Board Certification in Endocrinology Active Florida medical license and DEA certification Medical degree (M.D. or D.O., or foreign equivalent) Strong commitment to excellence in patient care, communication, and interdisciplinary teamwork
