Accounting Manager

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team in Daytona Beach, Florida. This role involves overseeing key accounting operations and ensuring compliance with financial standards. As a Long-term Contract position, the role offers stability and the opportunity to contribute to critical financial processes within the healthcare industry.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee month-end close procedures to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

- Maintain and manage the general ledger, ensuring all entries are recorded correctly.

- Lead financial statement audits by coordinating with auditors and preparing necessary documentation.

- Perform account reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies efficiently.

- Prepare and review journal entries to ensure compliance with accounting standards.

- Ensure accurate reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements.

- Analyze financial data to support strategic decision-making and improve operational efficiency.

- Collaborate with other departments to streamline accounting processes and enhance accuracy.

- Train and mentor accounting staff to maintain high performance and adherence to best practices. Requirements - Proven experience in managing month-end close processes.

- Strong knowledge of general ledger operations and financial reporting.

- Familiarity with conducting financial statement audits and working with auditors.

- Expertise in account reconciliation and resolving discrepancies.

- Proficiency in preparing and reviewing journal entries.

- Solid understanding of accounting principles and regulatory compliance.

- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.

- Strong communication and leadership abilities to guide and support team members.
