Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

• Assist in creating and/or updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WIs) and Lift Plans (LPs).
• Support data collection and analysis for process improvement projects (cycle time, takt time, down time, scrap rates).
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives such as Kaizen events and 5S activities.
• Assist with quality improvement tasks including PFMEA updates and corrective actions (CAPA).
• Provide support for project management, including creating/updating Gantt charts, status reports, and working with vendors.

• Actively pursuing a degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or Mechatronics preferred).
• Students going into Junior or Senior level preferred.
• Experience with 2D and 3D CAD required; experience with Autodesk (AutoCAD and Inventor) preferred but not required.
• Proficient in Excel and other MS Office products required.
• Engaged self-starter with a strong desire to apply learned coursework to manufacturing operations.
• Analytical thinker with an aptitude for problem solving.

• Status Options:
  • Full-Time with College Credit
  • Part-Time (10-25 hrs/week) with work schedule that fits around class schedule
• Available working hours:
  Monday
  - Friday 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Paid Co-Op Position
• Timing:
  Start as soon as available with the expectation to maintain role for multiple semesters is ideal
