Summary
The Warehouse & Logistics Technician supports daily warehouse and logistics operations by receiving, storing, staging, and shipping materials in a safe, organized, and efficient environment. This role works closely with production and logistics teams to ensure materials are available when needed. Training is provided on warehouse systems (including SAP EWM) and equipment, and this role offers the opportunity to build valuable skills in logistics and inventory management.
Roleand Responsibilities
- Load and unload trucks and track incoming and outgoing shipments using a warehouse management system (SAP EWM).
- Receive, pull, stage, and track raw materials to support daily production needs.
- Prepare and label packaged materials using SAP and established processes.
- Manage daily shipments, including domestic and international shipments, with appropriate documentation (training provided).
- Move freight, stock, and materials using carts, hand trucks, forklifts, and other material‑handling equipment.
- Generate and attach identifying tags to containers and ensure accurate material identification.
- Perform waste handling activities and record transactions in the warehouse management system.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by completing system transactions before or during physical movements.
- Support organization and cleanliness of the warehouse in alignment with 5S and safety standards.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure timely material flow and shipment deadlines are met.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ year of experience in a warehouse, shipping, logistics, or material handling environment (or equivalent experience).
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, hands‑on environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Basic computer skills and willingness to learn warehouse management systems (SAP EWM experience is a plus, training provided).
- Forklift experience is preferred; certification can be provided.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work well as part of a team.
- Ability to follow safety procedures and operate material‑handling equipment safely.
