An Electrician is responsible for performing a wide range of electrical repairs, preventive maintenance, monitoring, and testing of electrical equipment. The role includes upkeep, operation, cleanliness, and safety of all electrical equipment associated with the hospital’s infrastructure. The technician ensures JCAHO requirements are completed and handles repair and preventive maintenance work on systems such as fire alarms, electrical distribution, tube systems, intercoms, and various other electrical equipment.

Participation in department and craft meetings and adherence to correct safety work habits are required. The electrician must be available onsite for all emergencies, shut‑downs, or repairs as requested. Demonstrates prompt and courteous service to customers and communicates effectively with all levels of staff within the organization, exercising independent judgment under the implied guidelines of Premier Health’s quality, customer satisfaction, positive work environment, and financial stewardship goals.

• Minimum Education: High School completion / GED
• Preferred Education: Associate degree, Technical School or Apprentice program graduate preferred
• Licensure/Certification: Journeyman License preferred
• Experience: Minimum 1–3 years of job‑related experience

• Prior Functional Responsibilities: General construction/maintenance experience on plumbing systems, electrical systems, HVAC, carpentry, and/or mechanical systems
