Lead HVAC Service Technician Dayton, OH
EES Facility Services is looking for a full-time Lead HVAC Service Technician to service our customers in Western – Southwestern Ohio

- Pay: $35-$40/hour, offer dependent on experience
- Monday to Friday
- 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
- On call schedule (every 8 weeks or so)
- Weekends as needed
- 80-95% travel – overnights are very rare
- High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Commercial HVAC field.
- Sheet metal work or refrigeration experience required;
Vocational school or trade apprenticeships preferred. - Graduated from a local HVAC training program.
- Possess strong knowledge of diagnosing and repairing complex HVAC/R equipment and associated electrical systems
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to travel 85-90% of the time in a company vehicle.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
- Install, maintain, and repair ventilation and all types of air conditioning systems for industrial and commercial clients.
- Understand and troubleshoot all HVAC and refrigeration systems up to the more complex
- Troubleshoot and install chillers and boilers
- Perform start-up, balancing, and commissioning on highly technical equipment
- Estimate for service work and service projects
- Assist in the design of systems to overcome issues in the building
- Apply basic DDC skills; including but not limited to installing, troubleshooting, etc.
- Estimate hours needed for a service inspection based on equipment on the site.
- Help to mentor Apprentices, Skilled 1 & 2 technicians in the Service Department as they move on the pathway to senior & provides feedback to the Senior Leadership Team for appraisals and when needed
- Respond promptly and efficiently to emergency repairs.
- Provide technical direction and on-the-job training to Skilled Trade 2, 1 and apprentices
- Provide input & feedback to management and Senior Leadership Team on improving the service department.
- Ensure compliance with appliance standards and the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Complete accurate and timely paperwork, notes, and time entries into work orders.
- Assist customers with queries and perform other assigned duties.
