Job Level: 4

Security Personnel plays a critical role in maintaining a safe, secure, and supportive environment for staff, clients, and visitors at our behavioral health facility. This individual will monitor premises, respond to incidents, and assist with de-escalation and support services in alignment with trauma-informed care principles.

• Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to ensure facility security
• Conduct routine patrols of the interior and exterior grounds
• Respond promptly to security incidents, disturbances, or emergencies
• Enforce facility policies regarding visitor access, contraband, and restricted areas
• Maintain detailed incident reports and logs
• Support evacuation procedures and emergency response protocols
• Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency responders when necessary
• Provide compassionate, respectful interaction with individuals experiencing behavioral health challenges
• Always uphold confidentiality and HIPAA compliance

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or behavioral health settings preferred
• Valid security license or certification (if required by state)
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Strong observational and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm and professional in high-stress situations
• Familiarity with de-escalation techniques is a plus
• Must pass background check and drug screening

• Exposure to unpredictable situations requiring discretion and professionalism
• Collaborative team environment with emphasis on safety and dignity

• Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods
• May require lifting or physical intervention in emergency situations
• Must be able to respond quickly across facility grounds
