Job Title:
Territory Manager – Industrial PVF Sales

Location: Dayton, OH and surrounding corridor (Dayton, Tipp City, Springfield, Brookville, Springboro)

Position Summary

The Territory Manager is responsible for managing and growing sales within a defined geographic territory through the development of new and existing customer relationships. This position focuses on the sale of pipe, valves, fittings, flanges, and valve automation to mechanical contractors, industrial end users, OEMs, and distributors. The role requires a self-motivated sales professional with strong technical knowledge, a hunter mentality, and the ability to consistently achieve sales objectives.

This is an outside sales position that requires extensive field activity and direct customer interaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a territory business plan to achieve and exceed sales goals
  • Prospect for and establish new relationships with mechanical contractors within the assigned territory
  • Maintain and grow existing customer accounts through regular contact and value-added selling
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer procurement, engineering, and production teams
  • Quote, source, and sell PVF products including pipe, valves, fittings, flanges, and valve automation
  • Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate technical solutions
  • Collaborate with inside sales, operations, and management to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, opportunities, and forecasts
  • Represent the company professionally in all customer interactions

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of outside sales experience in industrial distribution or manufacturing
  • Demonstrated experience selling PVF products and industrial valve systems, both manual and automated
  • Proven success developing new business and managing a defined sales territory
  • Experience working with mechanical contractors required; OEM experience preferred
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand and communicate piping and valve system applications
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Physical and Work Requirements

  • Ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory
  • Ability to conduct in-person customer meetings, including job site visits
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle and maintain a valid driver’s license
