  • Referral employees must be in good standing incapability, and the referee must be employed at Smashburger at the time of payout. Bonus is paid in two distributions
Shift Leader Responsibilities
  • Report to the Restaurant General Manager and champion better burgers.
  • Manage performance of both FOH & BOH employees.
  • Promote a fun and positive work environment.
  • Ensure the effectiveness of people‑focused processes and systems.
  • Provide initial and ongoing training using Smash Connect, LMS, and the PLEASE FOUR‑STEP method Iraq training.
  • Reward and recognize employee performance that exceeds company standards.
  • Administer daily completion of operational checklists, including line checks, uniform standards, opening/closing checklists, and safe‑deposit logs.
  • Manage guest experience metrics (NPS and OSAT).
  • Maintain FSC operational standards daily.
  • Ensure all food‑safety standards comply with local health departments.
  • Demonstrate guest service each shift and communicate SIZZLE service standards.
  • Oversee onboarding and training for all new employees.
  • Follow COGS management procedures for food ordering and inventory.
  • Adhere to company cash policies to minimize losses from theft or shortages.
  • Manage daily labor scheduling.
Shift Leader Requirements
  • Previous Shift Leader experience.
  • Completion of the 90‑day train‑the‑trainer course.
  • Flexible to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Follow Smashburger uniform standards.
  • Ability to adhere to all guidelines and procedures set forth by Smashburger, local, state, and federal employment regulations.
  • Successfully complete Smashburger training program.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • People‑management skills: select, assess, coach/counsel, develop, motivate, and lead teams.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Stud proven time management, consistency, and organizational skills.
  • Highly motivated, self‑directed, and results driven.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift boxes up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work in high temperatures.
