Assistant General Manager - Fazoli’s
Job Summary
The Assistant General Manager has accountability for the successful operation, growth and prosperity of an assigned Fazoli’s Restaurant through the execution of People, Sales, Profit.
Responsibilities
- Assist the General Manager in developing the restaurant team succession and bench strength utilizing the Company’s internal development processes, performance management and other internal systems to ensure operational standards, team performance and corresponding financial goals.
- Work directly with the GM in building professional business relationships and partnerships within the community and turning those into mutually beneficial opportunities.
- Participate in community affairs that build brand awareness and reflect favorably on the Company.
- Assist GM with all aspects of the business to maximize profitability by maintaining, utilizing, and enforcing effective management practices, policies, controls, tools, and systems that improve efficiency and reduce waste.

- Outstanding communication and recruiting skills, with the ability to listen, process information quickly, and transfer knowledge effectively.
- Basic knowledge of general business and financial principles including profit and loss statements, budgeting, revenue generation.
- Ability to plan and implement multiple strategies and tasks simultaneously under GM direction.
- Self‑driven, works independently and collaboratively to mitigate risks and seize opportunities.
- Basic computer skills.
- Entrepreneurial spirit, competitive nature, and enthusiasm that drive team performance.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Minimum age 18; valid driver’s license.
- External candidates: minimum 1 year prior Assistant General Manager experience.
- Internal candidates: 1 year as a successful Fazoli’s Assistant Manager with recommendations and completed readiness checklist.
- Complete all required Fazoli’s training and certifications, including Serv Safe.
- Available to work all restaurant hours; weekly schedule 11 a.m.–8 p.m. and other meal periods.
- Maintain a safe and secure work environment; adhere to Safety & Security policies.
- Flexible to transfer or assist at other restaurants as business needs arise.
- Pass background checks, motor vehicle report, and reference checks.
Work Conditions
Job performed in a restaurant environment with moderate noise. Requires standing, walking, sitting, bending, using hands. May lift up to 50 lbs. The company reserves right to transfer. Mileage reimbursement applies for locations outside 25‑mile radius.
Hazards: standard restaurant hazards and automotive travel.
