Operating Room Open Heart Team – Miami Valley Hospital
Full-Time, 7:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room.
The Clinical Nurse is a registered nurse who partners with and advocates for patients, families, and significant others to provide physical, emotional, and spiritual support which positively impacts patient outcomes in a safe environment. The RN functions in a versatile role that demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence and autonomy in the practice of Nursing. The RN utilizes the nursing process in conjunction with evidence-based principles to care for a diverse caseload of patients within the department scope of service.
The RN serves as guide, healer, collaborator, teacher, leader, and sentry. The RN collaborates with and guides care delivered by the inter‑professional team. The RN is accountable for compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, Nursing Code of Ethics, and applicable regulatory standards.
- Operating Room experience as an RN.
- Valid Ohio RN license.
- Current American Heart Association CPR certification required at the time of hire.
- Minimum 2 years of acute care hospital experience may allow exemption from BSN requirement in exchange for a Professional Certification MOU to be obtained within 3 years of hire.
- Associate degree in Nursing (minimum required).
- BSN preferred; BSN completion or professional certification may be required.
- Ability to multitask amid constant interruptions while maintaining a pleasant demeanor.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Basic computer knowledge.
No prior job‑related work experience required.
