About the Team

The Digital Unit enables Cancer Council SA to effectively engage with clients, donors and partners through reliable digital systems and data.

We improve efficiency and resilience by streamlining processes, supporting staff with practical tools, and maintaining strong governance and security.

About the Role

Cancer Council SA is seeking a detail-oriented and service-driven professional to contribute to the Customer Experience Team’s delivery of high-quality service and support.

This role is responsible for the accurate processing and recognition of donor contributions across appeals, events and campaigns, ensuring supporter data is managed with a high degree of attention to detail, receipts are issued within established time frames, and enquiries are handled with professionalism and empathy.

Collaborating with the Finance team on auditing activities, partnering with the Digital team to maintain data quality and integrity within supporter systems, and working with the Fundraising team to support events and campaigns are central to providing exceptional frontline customer support.

Desired Skills and Experience

About You

You offer experience in supporter and customer services, complemented by strong organisational skills and the ability to manage structured processes with accuracy and consistency.

Your experience includes:

  • Demonstrated experience processing donations and receipting with a high degree of accuracy
  • Strong working knowledge of CRM or supporter database systems and a commitment to maintaining data integrity
  • Experience managing donor and event enquiries via phone and email, with the ability to respond with empathy and care to individuals in vulnerable or sensitive circumstances
  • The ability to prioritise competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Outlook and Excel)
  • A proactive, team-oriented approach with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple functions within the organisation
  • Experience with in a not-for-profit, fundraising, membership or supporter-based organisation will be highly regarded.
