Profitable, leading manufacturer with a diverse business mix is hiring a Production Planner to join their planning team and be assigned a specific group of customers. The Production Planner will work with a team of planners and will report to a Planning Manager. Responsibilities will include:

• Work as the primary contact for assigned premier customers
• Gather customer orders from a portal system and schedule within the production system
• Acknowledge purchase orders and ensure that lead times are accurate
• Create work orders, approximately 100 per week
• Partner with production to complete schedule analysis on labor, materials, etc.
• Communicate with customers on the status of their needs
• Complete monthly forecast updates within the company's ERP system
• Update bill of materials, including pricing and routing information
• Communicate regularly with operations related to on-time delivery and project status
• Other duties as directed by management

This is a desk driven position with occasional need to be on the manufacturing floor. Individuals MUST be customer service driven and have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Being personable and professional is critical. Candidates should enjoy working in a cross-functional team environment, be able to handle multiple demanding projects at a time, and be detailed oriented.

• Minimum of a high school diploma with at least eight years of similar planning and scheduling experience OR a Bachelor’s degree with at least three years of similar planning and scheduling experience
• Experience completing planning and scheduling activity in a HIGH MIX or HIGH SKU environment
• Experience being the point of contact for customers
• ERP experience
• Microsoft Office

Candidates are preferred to be local to the Dayton, OH area. There is a conservative relocation package available for regional candidates who meet all of the requirements.
