Utilizes computer-aided drafting software (Solid Works) to prepare technical drawings, work instructions, and maintain existing products. You will also participate in design reviews with engineers, production staff, and other subject matter experts to help develop new products.
Essential Functions- Creates manufacturing drawings, production work instructions, and customer-facing documentation, including overall drawings and 3D models.
- Review existing drawings to verify accuracy and completeness.
- Maintains solid model and drawing database (Solid Works PDM Standard), as well as the finished goods repository. Updates and maintains Bills of Material across all databases.
- Follows the design process for small design projects for new products and revisions to existing products.
- Communicates with internal stakeholders to create project requirements.

The position will be based at our headquarters location in Fairborn, OH. The work is performed in an open-floor-plan office environment. The job generally requires the worker to spend most of the day using a computer. This role routinely uses standard drafting equipment such as calipers and hand micrometers. Sit-stand desks are available, and other necessary office furniture..
The role occasionally requires customer visits, including manufacturing facilities where working conditions vary widely. Such sites have heavy machinery and safety hazards, including machinery that can severely injure or cause death, hazardous chemicals and vapors, forklifts and similar moving equipment, and dangerous noise levels. The employee is required to follow the host facility's safety instructions and wear proper safety gear, including vests, protective eyewear, ear protection, and steel-toe shoes.

Ability to regularly talk, hear, stand, walk, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Ability to type at 40 words per minute. Moderate noise level. This position does require travel up to 50%. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
