Co-op​/Intern, Construction Materials Lab

Position Overview

You will receive on the job training for this entry-level position. You will work alongside an experienced CMT lab technician to learn how to perform a variety of test procedures used to evaluate the quality of construction materials including soil, aggregate, concrete, asphalt, stone and masonry.

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Ability to multitask and shift priorities when needed
• Flexibility and willingness to modify personal schedule as required to meet deadlines
• Basic math and computer skills required
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Candidate must currently be enrolled in a degreed program in Geology, Environmental Science, or closely related field.

• Stand, walk, push, pull, twist, reach overhead, bending, crawling, climbing; lift minimum of 80 pounds

• Visual accommodation necessary for reading instructions/materials necessary to perform functions of job

• Ability to monitor sounds for changes in machine function

• Work exposes the employee to laboratory testing devices, dust, soil and other external environment factors
