Austin Industrial is currently seeking a Pipe Welder to join our staff located in Dayton, OH
. You will be responsible for the fabrication, installation, and maintenance of piping systems that support the production of high-quality ingredients and solutions for food, beverage, and other industries. This role requires precision, adherence to safety standards, and expertise in welding techniques for various materials.

• Perform all duties following plants’ safety procedures.
• Weld and fabricate piping systems using Stainless Steel Schedule 10 and Carbon Steel materials.
• Fabricate, install, maintain, and repair utility, process and sanitary piping and plumbing systems.
• Use hand and power tools and equipment to cut, solder, braze, weld, bend and thread materials used to work, and install piping and plumbing systems.
• Use electric and gas welding equipment to weld, braze, heat, form, cut, and fuse items associated with this craft.
• Inspect welds to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following all OSHA and company safety guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

• Proven experience as a Pipe Welder in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Proficiency in TIG and MIG welding processes for stainless steel and carbon steel.
• Ability to work from technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong understanding of welding safety practices and quality control.

• High school diploma or equivalent; welding certifications preferred.
• Experience — 3+ years of maintenance experience preferred in the chemical industry and/or industrial manufacturing.
• Meet physical demands as listed above.
