Aircraft Configuration Analyst 3 – 25919
HII Mission Technologies is seeking an F‑35 Configuration Analyst to support aircraft acquisition and lifecycle activities for the Department of Defense. This role demands expertise in configuration control, technical data evaluation, and regulatory compliance within complex aircraft systems environments.

Job Responsibilities
- Execute and oversee configuration management processes including configuration identification, control, audits, and status reporting.
- Perform Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) evaluations and approvals.
- Ensure compliance with DoD CM policies, procedures, standards, and review cycles.
- Provide support across development, production, ground support equipment, ancillary systems, testing & evaluation, and fleet operations.
- Analyze and disposition Major Variance Requests, Specification Change Notices, Engineering Change Requests/Proposals, and related documentation.
- Ensure accurate processing of all Class I (Major) changes and variances.
- Track and report CM metrics in alignment with DoD-level Data Management Program policies.
- Guide stakeholders on CM best practices and change control strategies.
- 6 years relevant experience with a Bachelor’s in related field; 4 years with a Master’s; or High School Diploma and 10 years of relevant experience.
- Minimum of the last 6 years in program management, technical analysis, or business analysis.
- Aircraft systems configuration management experience required.
- Demonstrated CM experience with development, ancillary equipment, ground support equipment, test & evaluation, and/or fleet operations of a DoD international acquisition aircraft program.
- Experience in collecting and maintaining process metrics and reporting techniques.
- Proficiency in CM evaluation tools and reporting systems.
- Familiarity with DoD and international acquisition standards.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Active SECRET security clearance.
Job performance will normally require only minor lifting and carrying of boxes of records or equipment.
