HEAPY Solutions is growing - and we're thrilled to announce our expansion into the Dallas market! We're looking for a skilled Construction Project Manager II (Electrical) to help us bring our mission of sustainability, innovation, and collaboration to this exciting new region.
As a Construction Project Manager II, you'll take ownership of the full project life cycle - from bid preperation and initiation through execution, control, and closeout - for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing infrastructure construction projects, with a strong focus on the electrical scope. Your leadership will directly shape the success of each project, ensuring a Superior Client Experience, high levels of Colleague Engagement and Collaboration, and achievement of Financial Sustainability goals.
In this role, you'll:
- Lead client-focused communication and outreach, serving as the primary point of contact.
- Clearly define and communicate the project scope, ensuring alignment with both the Client and internal teams.
- Establish the Client's Guiding Principles, schedule, cost, cash flow, quality standards, and resource plans to deliver top-quality results.
- Manage medium to large-sized projects (construction costs up to $5 million).
- Strengthen client relationships through successful project delivery, creating opportunities for continued collaboration and repeat business.

Position Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
Normally requires a 4-year degree in Electrical Engineering or Construction Management and 10 - 15 years' experience in medium to large size Electrical and/or Mechanical and Plumbing) Construction Project Management (or equivalent working knowledge/experience). OSHA Safety Training/Certification is required. Professional registration is preferred. Prior job assignments typically include Project Manager I responsibilities.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintains clear knowledge of HEAPY Corporate Vision, Mission, and Core Values and demonstrates awareness of how those objectives relate to all position responsibilities.
- Continually advances technical education and personal development aligned with OKR goals.
- Guides HEAPY Solutions service delivery consistent with the appropriate service operating procedures and the identified milestones.
- Participates in project costing and bid preparation to the extent required.
- Reviews assigned project(s) after award to HEAPY Solutions to define project scope, determine work procedures/sequences, and develop schedules, budgets, resource planning, client communication plan, and progress billing points.
- Serves as a liaison to sub-contractors/vendors; assists clients in selecting contractors/vendors. May serve as oversite for contractors/vendors as determined by project scope.
- Establishes Client - Engineer - Architect - Construction Manager liaison network to keep all interested parties informed of project communication, planning, schedule, and work progress.
- Collaborates with the Director of Construction, applicable Operations Managers, Practice Directors and Practice Technical Leaders to form a project work team and sees that responsibilities are assigned, and execution of tasks are initiated and completed according to schedule.
- Submits documents to Federal, state, and local authorities for code compliance review and obtains the various permits required.
- Holds regularly scheduled project progress review meetings to ensure that:
- A project contract's terms, conditions, and specifications are being met by all parties (design team as well as vendors, and sub-contractors).
- Project personnel adhere to federal and state regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Delays and cost overruns, at best, are entirely avoided, or, at worst, kept to a minimum.
- Resource requirements, equipment, materials, and quality problems are recognized for timely intervention and resolution.
- Represents the HEAPY Solutions culture, maintains Colleague morale and interacts appropriately with Client counterparts.
- Ensures information for progress billing purposes is submitted correctly and on time.
- Meets with client management as necessary during a project's terms to resolve issues and upon project completion to obtain final client approvals.
