America's Packard Museum is hiring a Director of Development! America's Packard Museum is one of the most unique cultural jewels in the Gem City! An automotive and transportation history museum featuring over 50 cars on display in the heart of Downtown Dayton, the museum has grown significantly since 2019. The Director of Development is essential to continue that growth and success, and the search is open immediately.

Reporting to and in partnership with the Executive Director (ED), the Development Director will spearhead development efforts as America’s Packard Museum continues to grow. A newly restructured position in the organization, the Director will have the opportunity to build the development function.
Responsibilities- Develop and execute America’s Packard Museum’s annual fundraising plan
- Secure financial support from individuals, foundations, and corporations
- Manage the implementation of a CRM and oversee staff responsible for data entry and gift processing
- Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with major donors
- Creating and executing a strategy for a sustained base of annual individual donors
- Overseeing organization of multiple fundraising events, including the annual Spring Fling Gala
- Developing and tracking proposals and reports for all foundation and corporate fundraising
- BA (required)
- Five-plus years of experience in development or related field
- Demonstrated excellence in organizational, managerial, and communication skills
- Knowledge of CRM
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- A proven record of success and experience in major gift fundraising
- The ability to project a strong positive image of America’s Packard Museum through personal interaction with donors and friends
- Demonstrated administrative and organizational skills such as strategic planning, setting deadlines, and evaluating progress
- A demonstrated ability to organize, motivate, and lead staff and volunteers
Range of pay: $57,000-$67,000 plus related benefits, commensurate with experience. Salary is scalable, if KPIs are met or exceeded.
