OverviewAs an IT Administrator, you will be a part of a team responsible for advanced network and server administration. You will be responsible for designing, building, deploying, and supporting network and server infrastructure. This will also include response and remediation of any system availability and performance incidents as well as any security threats identified within our environment.
Responsibilities- address support requests requiring administrator level access and skillsets.
- design, build, deploy, and support network and server infrastructure.
- respond to system availability and performance incidents and remediation of security threats within the environment.
- work on special projects to research new technology, solve complex problems, and gather business requirements.
- research and recommend appropriate solutions, perform hands-on work to build, configure, test, and deploy those solutions, and provide documentation and training to Operations teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of server hardware, virtualization, and networking
- Experience with VMware, Windows and/or Linux server operating systems
- Experience with Active Directory, DNS, file servers, SQL databases, web servers, firewall management, router and switch configurations, scripting, and automation
- Preferred industry standard certifications include: A+, CCNA/CCNP, MCSA/MCSE or equivalent experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
