Job Description Candidate will serve as a technical lead to manage, administer, support, and enhance Linux cloud and on premises compute environments, ensuring continuous improvement and rapid problem resolution. The Candidate will apply apply specific functional knowledge, including working and general industry knowledge. Improve client's environment with container software to ensure seamless orchestration. Research and identify new methodologies to assist establishing and automate the Dev Ops pipeline, including application performance monitoring, CI/CD cycles, infrastructure, and configuration management.

Investigate and resolve technical issues, provide Level 2 technical support, perform root cause analysis for production errors, build tools to improve customer experience, and develop software to integrate with internal back-end systems. This individual will be a team player and work well with technical professionals in a multi-discipline agile environment. Essential

Job Responsibilities
* Be part of a team responsible for creating, maintaining, and augmenting a Linux cloud and on premises compute environment
* Hone skills using the latest cloud technologies
* Present status reports to key internal stakeholders.
* Evaluate new tools, technologies, and processes to improve computer environment
* Linux system administration: backups, accounts, storage, compute resources, upgrades
* Other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
* 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
* Minimum Secret clearance required to start.
* Must be able to obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI with enhanced security checks. Preferred Requirements
* 3+ years of experience in virtual or containerized environment
* 3+ years of experience with automation scripts:
Bash, Python, Ansible, Power Shell
* 3+ years of experience with cloud environment
* 3+ years of experience with Linux administration * [Desired]

Experience with VMware vCenter and ESXi * [Desired]

Experience with Git Lab/Git Hub pipelines and actions * [Desired]

Experience with containers like Docker and Kubernetes

Physical Requirements Office, industrial, or testing environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
