The University of Dayton is seeking a dynamic and passionate Catering Service Attendant! As a Catering Service Attendant, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional catering services for various events on campus. This position is part-time, partial benefit eligible. Apply today!
ResponsibilitiesUnder direction of the Catering Services Operations Assistant or an Event Supervisor, the Catering Service Attendant provides services related to catered functions on and off campus. The Catering Service Attendant provides service according to order specifications, assists in food preparation, works as bartender, follows set up and sanitation procedures.
Minimum Qualifications- Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to bend, stoop, stretch, reach, push, pull.
- Ability to lift equipment, food supplies up to 40 pounds in weight on a regular and continuing basis.
- Ability to stand or walk up to 4 hours at a time.
- Possess finger dexterity to use small tools proficiently and have hand/finger/eye coordination.
- Position may be exposed to wet floors, temperature extremes and loud noise. Must be able to tolerate these conditions.
- Ability to exert fast paced mobility.
- Ability to visually differentiate colors for the purposes of food safety.
- Ability to effectively communicate (written and spoken) in English.
- Ability to listen attentively to customers, supervisors and other employees.
- Able to work nights and weekends.
- Able to adapt schedule to manage food service events.
- Able to work flexible schedule.
- Managerial Serv Safe certified.
- Fine dining or catering experience.
- Valid driver license and certifiable per University requirements with less than six points on driving record.
- Able to drive catering transport vehicles.
- Successful experience assisting customers.
- Successful experience working with students and a diverse multi cultural staff.

Work Hours & BenefitsThis position is part-time, partial benefit eligible. Open availability in terms of scheduling required. Valid driver's license with low risk driving record preferred.
