Position SummaryThe Division of Health Sciences is currently seeking a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) to teach in the CAAHEP‑accredited Polysomnography Certificate Program, a one‑year program that prepares students for entry‑level roles in sleep medicine. This faculty member will work closely with the program director to teach coursework in the program while guiding students in performing and analyzing polysomnographic tests. Responsibilities include delivering lectures, overseeing hands‑on training, and preparing students for clinical practice.
The starting pay for Adjunct Faculty is $1,016 per credit hour assigned to teach.

Principal Accountabilities- Adjunct faculty teach curriculum developed by the department
- Plan and organize instruction in ways which maximize student learning
- Prepare and provide syllabi for all assigned sections in accordance with department and divisional policies
- Employ appropriate teaching and learning strategies, use available instructional technology when appropriate
- Modify, where appropriate, instructional methods and strategies to meet diverse students’ needs
- Support classroom and online efforts to promote student success
- Evaluate and return student work in a timely manner to promote learning
- Maintain accurate records of student progress
- Submit final grade rosters according to established deadlines
- Maintain confidentiality of student information
- Adjunct Faculty cannot be assigned to teach more than the maximum of 12 credit hours per semester
- Other duties as assigned
- Must hold at least one of the following:
Registered Electroencephalographic Technologist (R.EEG.T) or Registered Evoked Potential technologist (R.EP.T) credential or Registered Nerve Conduction Study Technologist (R.NCS.T), or Certified Nerve Conduction Technologist (CNCT), or Certification in Neurophysiologic Intraoperative Monitoring (CNIM) - Minimum of one year of work experience as a neurodiagnostic technologist required
- Evidence of successful prior teaching experience is preferred
- Demonstrated commitment to improving student learning through innovative strategies shown to help students succeed at the course and program level
- Effective communication skills and interpersonal skills with the capacity to work successfully in a culturally diverse college community
- Must possess demonstrated skills in using modern educational technology, including multimedia-based instruction
Official transcripts for all post‑secondary degrees (if applicable) and successful completion of a background check will be required prior to date of hire.
Health Sciences staff may be required to meet health requirements, including immunizations and COVID‑19 vaccination, to meet the conditions of health care facilities where staff administer clinical coursework, other requirements of their respective health care disciplines, or of federal, state, or local government.
