This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the application.
DutiesThe PTSD Staff Psychologist is primarily assigned to the Mental Health Residential Rehabilitation Program (MH RRTP), providing a full range of psychological services to Veterans diagnosed with a range of mental health and substance use disorders.
- Diagnose mental disorders
- Conduct psychological and/or neuropsychological assessments
- Treat mental disorders through a variety of modalities
- Provide adjunctive interventions for the treatment of medical disorders
Experience in evidence-based psychotherapies (EBPs) for trauma related disorders is preferred.
