SummaryThe Medical Materiel Specialist II shall manage the 27 Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear (CBRN) Response Enterprise, oversee logistics, inventory management, and coordinate with other base organizations, units, and government agencies. The role is performed independently on single‑location sites and includes management oversight of onsite contractor staff.
Responsibilities- Logistical oversight and inventory management of the 27 CBRN Response Enterprise to ensure precise SLEP/DMLSS statistics.
- Conduct monthly reviews and provide monthly reports to the COR on SLEP and DMLSS inventory records to ensure accuracy and program compliance.
- Act as Logical SLEP coordinator, conduct regular inventory audits, and track/document usage of medical materials.
- Assist in procurement of medical supplies and equipment.
- Perform program management and oversight of medical materiel operations; communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
- Coordinate logistics activities with base organizations, units, and government agencies.
- Ensure overall readiness and availability of unit ECMM (Expeditionary Contingency Medical Materiel), including general medical materiel management and warehouse activities.
- Serve as the vendor‑contracted ANG Influenza Program Manager, responsible for logistical oversight and management of the influenza vaccination program.
- Act as focal point between the Surgeon General and ANG Medical Groups regarding the influenza program.
- Collaborate in an integrated manner with stakeholders and provide strategic readiness reporting.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Associate’s Degree or higher, or eight years of medical logistics field experience with six years of specialized medical materiel management experience.
- Specialized experience in general supply activities, ordering, receiving, customer support, inventory management, assemblage management, warehousing, and operation of various materials handling equipment in a healthcare or healthcare support environment.
- Experience in using and running transactions in the MMIS.
- Must be able to pass client background screening for security clearance.
- Travel may be required.
- Advanced degree in a related field.
