Full Time - Mental Health Therapist/Counselor

Sign on bonus offered for eligible applicants and for a limited time.

The Mental Health Therapist works under the supervision of the Clinical Director and the respective counselor supervisor. The primary function is to conduct individual, group, and family therapies, coordinating various clinical mental health activities and performing diagnostic and assessment procedures based on qualifications and abilities. Other duties may be assigned.

• Conduct daily individual, group, and/or family counseling sessions with clients.
• Perform diagnostic, assessment, and treatment planning procedures in accordance with ODMH/ODADAS/CARF standards.
• Coordinate various clinical activities.
• Assist in monitoring care to ensure compliance with agency policies; report necessary information to the counselor supervisor and/or Clinical Director.
• Attend regularly scheduled executive committee meetings.
• Provide treatment staffing with reports accurately representing client responses.
• Serve on quality assurance committees; may serve as chairperson of selected committees at leadership direction.
• Conduct in‑service training as assigned.
• Maintain contact with family members/guardians, referral sources, and authorized outside sources regarding client treatment and progress.
• Maintain documentation relative to caseload and program function.
• Meet with representatives from outside agencies (local mental health boards, potential referral sources, state agencies) for marketing, survey/audit, or informational purposes as required.
• Possess adequate knowledge of and ability to navigate an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
• Assume additional duties assigned by the Clinical Director or Counseling Supervisor.

• Required Licensure: LSW, LISW, LPC, or LPCC.
• Experience working with adolescents, teens, and adults with mental health diagnoses, or a preferred mental health work history.

  Demonstrate knowledge and skills appropriate to the age of patients served; assess data and interpret information to identify each patient’s age‑specific needs; provide care in line with unit policies.
• Supervision:
  This position has no supervisory function.
• Proven competency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Adaptability in a challenging and dynamic environment; work well in a matrixed organizational structure.
• Satisfactory references from employers and/or professional peers and a satisfactory criminal background check.
• Satisfactory drug screen.
